Agile techniques have significantly advanced the state of the industry in the years since the the Agile Manifesto was written. At the same time, big enterprises are getting bigger and more complex. Scale and its accompanying dysfunction have made it increasingly difficult to achieve the benefits of agile, even while smaller companies are extending agile beyond what the signatories of the Manifesto imagined. In this talk, Brandon Byars will discuss organizational patterns that allow large enterprises to break away from the system-imposed chains that reel in large scale agility.
